Elsewhere on 10th

The menu changes frequently and is largely driven by the seasons and the imaginations of farmers and friends.

Elsewhere on 10th is a small, casually elegant, farm-to-table restaurant nesting in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. We offer freshly baked artisan breads and prepare all of our foods in-house from ingredients derived as locally and seasonally as possible. Our dishes reflect an eclectic blend of new Southern regional and international cuisines.

Elsewhere belongs to a philanthropic parent group, “Platina’s  Table”. Platina (pronounced plah-tee’-na) is the nickname of Bartolomea Sacchi (1421-1481), who authored the first printed cookbook in 1475, Concerning honest pleasure and well-being. Platina’s philosophy of honest pleasure is based on finding beauty in living simply, healthfully, compassionately, and setting a seasonal table.

With help from Platina’s Table, Elsewhere on 10th offers a community kitchen for classes and workshops on nutrition, artisan and everyday baking, preserving and fermenting, garden-to-table cooking, healthy weeknight meals, sustainability, and more. Youth programs and internships for adults provide individuals with the knowledge and experience needed for jobs in the restaurant industry.

Elsewhere also provides free meeting space for non-profit groups and individuals, allowing folks to meet and exchange ideas and expertise on all things community. In addition, Elsewhere on 10th will be working  to contribute to the community through direct donations to local non-profit organizations, low-cost catering for non-profit and community events, food bank donations, and food gift cards for families in need.
